Ice Day, Number Two: Being shut in has been a lot more fun than I would have expected. I have cooked enough for an entire winter and we have eaten like bears. We have avoided cabin fever with a rigorous indoor exercise regime consisting of me chasing Lu around the house, Lu chasing me around the house, tickling, wrestling and the ocassional tantrum, as well as one trip outside to see the snow. Lu loved it. Now she very much has winter on the brain. As part of her naptime stalling monologue, she noted that "penguins are good swimmers" and "you have to wear your glubs and cowboy boots outside, otherwise you will be very, very cold."

AHHHH! These are the cutest pictures EVER!!! I love Lu. xoxox
Glad Frosty Elena got to dance around in some real snow!!
LOVE the pics, too. But...ummm...did you guys turn Elmo into a scarf? It's fashionable, but I'm not sure the PETA folks are gonna like it.
The coat is only faux, no real Elmos hurt in its making. We do call it the Elmo coat. And at least person has asked me, disdainfully, "Is that vintage or what?" as though I had ripped up some old carpet and fashioned a coat out of it.
I have been looking at these absolutely wonderful pictures of Lu alone and with Jason, off and on for two days now, and I have fallen in love again with them both. Sooooooooooo cute, alive, vibrant and just plain old fun on the very infrequent "snow" day in Austin. Granny loves it! TY Kate for taking the pictures. Aunt Pie said it best about the pictures. And my favorite daughter is the best of the best!
