Good Oral Hygiene
Right as we were pulling into the driveway at school this morning, Lu realized she hadn't brushed her teeth. She sobbed and wailed:
"I NEED TO BRUSH MY TEETH.
I HAD CANDY, SO I HAVE TO BRUSH MY TEETH.
OTHERWISE I WILL GET A CAVITY.
AND MY MOUTH WILL SMELL BAD.
AND NO ONE WILL WANT TO TALK TO ME.
I HAVE TO BRUSH MY TEETH.
TURN AROUND TURN AROUND TURN AROUND!"
I explained that Dad would bring the toothbrush later, and she thought we should wait in the parking lot for him to get there. I talked her out this, sending her teary-eyed and foul-mouthed into school. I ended up delivering the toothbrush later in the morning and Mrs. Robinson greeted me with, "Thank God you brought the toothbrush. We haven't been having a good morning."

Awww...I used to freak out and get fixated on stuff just like that. Oh wait, I still do that. I love Lu.
Who did such a good job of brainwashing (er, instilling good oral hygeine habits in...) Lu? Has she even been to a dentist appt. yet? I am loving the recent spate of Lu updates. Please keep 'em coming! - Miss West
And the toothpaste package ( with paste and brush) is safe and sound at Granny's house. So far no need to brush yet. We will see later. My experience, like Miss West, is that she is just a very conscientious young (big girl) lady with a desire to keep her teeth clean and keep fresh breath, just in case she needs to get married again. :-) Te he

just trying to piece together the timeline here....candy before 8am? Please clarify so I can notify the tooth fairy immediately.
Stephen and his dentist grandfather are very proud! Stephen is a freak when it comes to his teeth, so I'm sure he'll be glad to read that he can indeed make his kids teeth freaks too -- if he so endeavors! Loving the Lu updates, K, keep 'em coming!
