At This Very Moment...
...one week ago, I was having a baby. HAVING A BABY. FROM MY BODY. Milo wasn't here, then suddenly, he was. It never stops amazing me.
This week has been an Alice in Wonderland kind of experience, where everything that had seemed big (our jobs, the rest of the world) became instantly small, and now this tiny 8 lb., 5 oz. creature is huge to us.
Tonight, the four of us went out for pizza with Jason's family. In the car, Lucy was telling us what Milo was doing in the backseat and we were all being silly. Jason looked over at me and said, "We are four..." That never stops amazing me either.

How does Milo take his pizza?
That whole greater-than-the-sum-of-its-parts thing never ceases to amaze me--a new little creature who adds so much more than one to the new family total...
You guys are pretty picture-perfect so far, I might add. The two of you with a blonde little spitfire Kate-clone and an adorable Junior Jason, with that magnificent head of hair. Have you ever met a cuter foursome?
BTW, Milo's hair keeps reminding me of that old magnetic hair toy with the shavings you move around: http://www.amazon.com/The-Original-Wooly-Willy-Keychain/dp/B00000IV9E/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=toys-and-games&qid=1252903062&sr=8-2
Love it!
Oh, these posts make me cry, Kate. I'm so excited for you guys. Milo does look just like Jason ....isn't it amazing? genetics, life, living, fabulous, incredible. ...we can't wait to see him and hope to do that this weekend but promise we won't stay long!
